Welcome to Agility Boulders!

 
FIRST VISIT

No matter what your climbing experience or fitness level, we're stoked to welcome you to Agility!

Just a couple of quick ground rules before you get started on your Agility adventure:

 

  1. Everyone who steps foot beyond the front entryway/lounge area of the gym must have a signed waiver on file. 

  2. There are no exceptions to #1.

  3. We LOVE climbing, and we want to share climbing with everyone around us. 

  4. The ultimate goal of Agility Boulders is to be welcoming: to any person, of any level of climbing ability or knowledge. Moreover, the gym aims to actively promote healthy lifestyles, positive community engagement, and an atmosphere where any climber (from the most beginningest of beginners on up to elite pebble wrestlers) can connect with others and find common ground and the stoke for climbing. 

  5. Find your stoke, and share it with everyone around you.

Agility Boulders

is a bouldering and obstacle gym, focused first and foremost on nurturing a community of like-minded individuals engaged in healthy, active lifestyles based on movement. 

What is Bouldering?

RESERVATIONS
While not required, reservations are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED when visiting Agility. 
Currently capacity will be limited to 30 persons at a time. Walk-ins will only be allowed if capacity limit has not already been reached. 
Reservations are for two hour time slots, and are open to everyone. Please limit to 1 reservation per person per day.

GYM RULES

  • NO SPRAYING OF UNSOLICITED BETA. 

  • Always (safely) offer a spot when necessary. Look after fellow climbers. 

  • Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Running in the gym is a terrible idea.
     

  • Everyone falls (eventually). Check your fall zones. Learn to fall properly. Even seasoned veterans can get hurt when complacency creeps in. ​
     

  • Never climb above, below, or near another climber. Please be considerate. Never stand, sit, or walk in an area where another climber could fall. Always look at the climbing walls around you, especially when walking through the gym, to see where climbers are on the walls.​
     

  • Keep the volume low on profanity, especially when children are present. Anyone heard swearing in front of children is kindly asked to pay up in our swear jar (which will be donated to The Access Fund) or to bring a can of food to donate to the Food Bank. ​

  • The OBSTACLES are reserved for youth during all scheduled party hours. Outside of party hours, adults and youth may use the equipment interchangeably (after watching our brief safety video). Same supervision rules apply as in the adult (main) gym area.
     

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE clean up after yourself (or any youths you may be supervising). ​
     

  • Tick marks are typically unnecessary in a gym setting. However, we understand that occasionally it can help; if compelled to tick something, please be courteous and brush off the tick marks when finished. ​
     

  • PLEASE DO NOT WEAR CLIMBING SHOES INTO THE RESTROOMS. That’s just icky.
     

  • For groups of 6 or more, please book a group package in advance.

YOUTH

 

Young climbers are a huge focus for us here at Agility. There is no minimum age limit for climbing; kids are naturals at it and we are excited to welcome them to the world of climbing. However, kids will be kids and we ask that parents closely and consistently help us to keep kids safe.  

Kids are welcome any time we are open. Please keep in mind that children must be closely supervised by an adult (18+) at all times while in the gym. Unchaperoned drop-offs are not permitted. Before climbing, all participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by either a parent or legal guardian.

We have a kids area (designed with younger climbers in mind), but children are also allowed on the rest of the walls as long as they have close adult supervision. We highly encourage every child to explore our terrain at their own pace!

ANY YOUTH (13 AND UNDER) MUST BE ACTIVELY SUPERVISED BY WHICHEVER ADULT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THEM DURING THEIR VISIT TO THE GYM. DIRECT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED OVER YOUTH DURING THE ENTIRETY OF THEIR VISIT. AN ADULT CANNOT SUPERVISE MORE THAN 3 YOUTHS AT A TIME IN THE CLIMBING AREAS, INCLUDING IN THE YOUTH SECTIONS OF THE GYM.

 

The only exception to this number are for any adult member(s) with youth or youth member(s) for whom a singular adult supervisor is all that is required.

  • No jumping off structures.

  • No running or rough-housing.

  • No playing allowed on or with any of the fitness equipment. However, Youth Team and any Youth demonstrating responsibility in training are welcome to use the equipment. 
     

  • Any member of the Youth Training Team is allowed to be dropped off at Agility, regardless of age. 
     

  • Students (age 14 years old up to 17 years old) with a signed waiver on file are allowed access to all areas of the gym with only minimal supervision.
